The peppers shown here have a hotness rating of 10,000-50,000
on Craig
Dremann's scale.
The rating means one ounce of the pepper will make that many ounces
of sauce detectably hot.
This group are the hottest in the world, and this extreme level
of heat is only found in less than 10% of all the world's pepper
varieties, and includes small-fruited East Indian varieties, a
Japanese variety and three from Mexico: the Tabasco, Pequin and
the world's hottest, the Tepin.
Pepper photos shown in order of their heat level.
